Coming off a mid-week win in the Canadian Championship over semi-pro side Simcoe County, the Reds now face a tougher challenge as they head on the road to return to MLS action going up against Orlando City.

Toronto head into this matchup with 13 points on a 4-4-1 record sitting in fifth place, seven places ahead of an Orlando City side who sit in 12th place in the eastern conference with 9 points.

Orlando City head into the matchup after drawing to Toronto FC rivals CF Montreal on the road 2-2. Yet, Orlando head into the matchup with an advantage as Toronto has been winless in its last eight meetings with Orlando (0-6-2) dating back to 2019.

Coach Herdman will most definitely look for a win to carry on the highs from the New England win last weekend as they take on Orlando.

Yet Herdman will be without the injured Lorenzo Insigne, Richie Laryea, Brandon Servania, and Shane O’Neill, while forward Deandre Kerr is questionable. Newly acquired winger Derrick Etienne Jr. from Atlanta United is expected to be available. And veteran centre back Kevin Long is back from receiving a suspension in the 3-2 loss against Charlotte.

Coach Herdman will look on the recent impressing performances by German forward Prince Owusu, who has now scored in three matches consecutively and will look to continue on this goal scoring streak as they take on Orlando City, as the club hopes to string up a win to break the streaks of losses dating back to 2019.
