Canada, who are currently ranked 31st in the FIFA Rankings, come up against a Romania side that is currently ranked 38 in the Rankings. This match-up continues both head coach Jesse Marsch’s and CEO & General Secretary Kevin Blue’s goal to have Canada face Top 40 ranked teams to prep them ahead of the 2026 World Cup on home soil.

Romania come into this match fresh off an undefeated UEFA Nations League C campaign that saw them get maximum points against the likes of Kosovo, Lithuania and Cyprus. While not the highest of opposition, Romania still remain a tough test for Canada as they continue to build momentum in 2025.
