Canadian Premier League 2022 Schedule

The Canadian Premier League has confirmed the full schedule for its fourth season, which will kick off on April 17 and conclude with a single-leg final on October 29.

Fans can take a look at the full season schedule on the league website here.

The single-table regular season structure for the league will remain in place, with each club playing one another four times, twice home and twice away, for a total of fourteen home matches in each market.

Like the previous season, the top half of the table will then advance to a playoff semi-final. With the luxury of a full-length season, however, the league has opted to make the playoffs a two-legged affair, with the top team paired against the fourth and the second-placed team paired against the third.

The aggregate winners will then advance to a single-leg 2022 CPL Final set for October 29, with the highest seed earning hosting rights.

The league teased the schedule release by revealing the opening weekend yesterday, with York United set to kick off the festivities at York Lions Stadium.

The regular season will come to a close on October 9, with playoffs running from October 15-22 before the single-leg 2022 CPL Final on October 29.

The league has limited its mid-week regular season action sixteen matches, with the rest set to happen between the coveted Friday-Sunday window preferred by most football fans.

Fans can tune into the action on OneSoccer, Telus Channel 980, and fuboTV.

With less than sixty-four days to the launch of the 2022 CPL season, focus is already shifting to preseason camp for all eight clubs. More on this is expected in the near future – along with who will take the vacant head coach role at Atletico Ottawa.
