Canadian Full-Back Chrisnovic N’sa Enters Free Agency

With his contract ending, former Canadian Premier League full-back Chrisnovic N’sa has officially said goodbye to Ostersunds FK.

The 26-year-old Montreal native spent the last two years with the Superettan side, adding two goals in 28 appearances as the club finished twelfth and fourteenth. His departure was formally confirmed by the club today.

“Thank you Ostersunds and all the fans for the support and love,” said N’sa online. “Good luck for the future! God bless.”

We had earmarked Chrisnovic N’sa as a top free agent for FC Supra to target. Born and raised in Montreal, N’sa cut his teeth with the Montreal Impact academy before turning professional with the launch of the Halifax Wanderers. Establishing himself as a strong right-back in Canada’s top flight, he made the jump to York United after two years with Halifax and racked up some 88 appearances between the two sides.

His time in Canada was followed by a one-year chapter with MLS Next Pro side Huntsville City FC, where he featured in all but three matches from the club’s inaugural campaign and rode the bench for their MLS parent club Nashville on one occasion. Rather than challenging for the first team as many thought he might, however, N’sa left for Swedish side Ostersunds FK.

The 26-year-old is well-known for his larger-than-life attitude, with his workrate on the pitch only matches by his community ties off of it. He’s the kind of player who ticks the box as both an energetic performer and a great locker room attitude. While his next steps are unknown, we’ve heard of CPL interest from multiple parties.

Another former Nine Stripes full-back, Diyaedinne Abzi, has been spotted training with several league players in Quebec ahead of the expiry of his two-year match ban.
