The Canadian Premier League wasn’t without a gambling partnership for long: with its ComeOn! partnership ending in the fall, the league has just announced tonybet as the CPL’s new sports betting and online casino partner.

The international gaming company has put pen to paper on a multi-year deal with the league that will see it named as the presenting partner of the CPL’s match of the week and it’s fan-oriented predictor contest, too.

“With the CPL being one of the fastest growing leagues in Canada, tonybet is excited to build and enhance the fan experience,” said tonybet’s country manager for Canada, Alex Haig.

While ComeOn! had been a front of jersey spoksor for Atletico Ottawa, that mantle has now been passed to another new league partner in Maple Lodge Farms. There’s been a flurry of new corporate partnerships of late, with Carlsberg and CIBC also joining.

“We are excited to add tonybet to our growing roster of CPL sponsors,” concluded CPL commissioner Mark Noonan, who is entering his first full season at the helm of the league.

“We look forward to working with them on experiences that engage our fans and enhance what it means to be a supporter of the CPL and Canadian soccer in general.”
