Cavalry’s New Kits Pay Homage To Alberta
The new kits that Cavalry FC will don for the 2023 CPL season pay homage to the province of Alberta’s landscapes.
Both new threads were introduced to fans last night, with the primary kit featuring a red-and-black split fade with a base that pays homage to the Rockies with bison, the shaggy-haired beasts who roam the land and represent strength, unity, and resilience.
The alternate kit will feature a clean black look that features a lightning strike across the lower segment.
The club continues to feature Westjet as its front-of-jersey sponsor, with this year seeing CIBC featured as a sleeve sponsor following the bank’s multi-year deal with the Canadian Premier League.
Tommy Wheeldon Jr’s club will be hungry to add a golden North Star to the kit, with the perennial title contenders still without a league win – though their previous regular season wins will be formally recognized this year with the introduction of a trophy.
The club’s fifth-ever campaign will kick off with an away trip to league rivals Forge FC on April 15.
Cavalry won’t be the only club to feature heavy tones of red and black, with Vancouver FC also featuring primary and alternates of the same colour – it’ll be quite a clash when they face eachother.
