CF Montreal has finalized the acquisition of the Quebec-born striker from Belgium.

On Saturday morning, the club confirmed that it has signed Jules-Anthony Vilsaint via an international transfer from the Belgian first-division team Royal Antwerp FC.

The deal also includes a two-year contract with two more option years for 2025 and 2026.

Jules-Anthony is a promising forward from Quebec. He has “interesting physical attributes in addition to good pace, despite his height,” said Vice-President and Chief Sporting Officer Olivier Renard. “We will help further his development and continue his progress with us. We welcome him to his hometown club.”

A Montreal native, the 20-year-old has dual citizenship with both Canada and Haiti and he played for Panellinios Montreal FC before his move to Europe.

This season so far he has one goal in 10 matches played with the reserves, making the starting 11 four times while logging 384 minutes of playing time.

Internationally, he is part of the U-20 national team program for Canada and in April was invited to the camp in Costa Rica but didn’t participate.

He was also named to the provisional squad for the U-20 Concacaf Men’s Championship. CF Montreal is scheduled to face the Houston Dynamo tonight in Florida in their first preseason game against MLS competition.

The club had recently played a PLSQ all-star team from Laval in their final training session in Montreal before heading down south and most recently last week beating a University team from Florida 3-1.
