CF Montreal Confirms Matko Miljevic Needed Surgery After Injury
On Friday morning CF Montreal announced that Matko Miljevic had successful surgery after tearing his meniscus in a pre-season game last week against the Houston Dynamo in Florida.
Miljevic had the surgery in Argentina, with the timeframe for his recovery being 8-12 weeks. It’s another blow to the team after losing Djordje Mihailovic, Ismael Kone, and Alistair Johnston through transfers in the offseason.

The team is still in Florida and will face the Tampa Bay Rowdies tomorrow night at 7:30PM after beating Inter Miami 2-1 on Wednesday and earning a 2-2 draw against the Dynamo last Saturday.
The game against Tampa is the final preseason game before the season kicks off for CF Montreal on February 25th at the DRV Pink Stadium against Inter Miami.
After that, the team will head to Texas to face Austin and will wrap up the road trip on March 11th against Nashville before playing their home opener on March 18th against the Philadelphia Union.
That game will be played at the famous Olympic Stadium in Montreal.
