Zachary Fernandez Trialing With FC Supra
Quebecois full-back Zachary Fernandez is joining FC Supra du Quebec for the second portion of its preseason camp.
It remains to be seen if the Canadian Premier League full-back, 24, will land a spot with the expansion side, though he’s certainly one of the biggest Canadian free agents left in the CPL market.
Get To Know: Zachary Fernandez
Fernandez made a name for himself during a three-year stint with the Halifax Wanderers that saw him tally five goals and eight assists in 77 appearances, with many believing the right-back was destined to play at a higher level.

Instead, he made a a surprise move to Winnipeg’s Valour FC last season. He was an instant starter for the side but but saw his season cut short through an ACL tear in August, with Valour itself folding in November.
Born in Laval, Quebec, the full-back was once an intriguing prospect within the CF Montreal Academy ranks, training with the first team in 2020 and 2021 before landing with AS Blainville ahead of his Wanderers era.
Much like former Valour full-back Themi Antinoglou, it seems a foregone conclusion that Fernandez will remain in the pro ranks for 2026, albeit coming in from his season-ending injury has made his return more complicated.
He enters camp just a few appearances shy of 100 for CPL sides, offering an extremely high ceiling for the club when healthy. His inclusion was first reported by Maxime Truman.
Also included in FC Supra’s latest training camp is Olivier Correa, who who hails from the NCAA ranks of Jacksonville. We’re told the young attacker has impressed and looks likely a likely signing, too.
This month saw the side sign Diyaeddine Abzi, with the club travelling stateside for a series of friendlies before whittling down the size of their trialists as the Canadian Premier League season approaches.
