Forge Confirms Metusala Exit
Canadian Premier League side Forge FC has confirmed that Haiti international Garven Metusala has left the club after four seasons in the hammer.
The 25-year-old centre-back had racked up 113 appearances for Forge FC, earning two domestic championships following his fast ascent up into professional football.
The last season saw him make thirty appearances overall, including playing for every possible minute in their continental bout against Chivas Guadalajara and in all four legs against Major League Soccer sides through domestic cup play.

The Quebecois defender first arrived to Hamilton after his selection in the 2021 CPL-U SPORTS Draft, before which he had featured for AS Blainville, both St. Hubert and SC Fabrose.
He quickly established himself as a strong defensive talent in Canada’s top flight with pace and vision to match the perennial title contenders in Forge.
His next step, at the moment, is unknown. Metusala has also tallied eight appearance for the Haiti national team since his debut 2022, featuring for every possible minute in their ’23 Gold Cup foray.

Garven isn’t the only key defender exiting Tim Hortons Field, with Malcolm Duncan also departing the side. This comes after his biggest breakthrough season yet, with the right-back registering 37 appearances in 2024, good for all but one Forge match.
Duncan’s stock certainly rose this year, so it’ll be interesting to see where the defender lands.
Forge is in the midst of preseason camp as the club prepares for its Champions Cup bouts against CF Monterrey. There’s a number of interesting faces in camp, include York United duo Molham Babouli and Brian Wright, along with League1 Ontario standout Ronaldo Homenski.
