Forge FC was a little late to the party in announcing Spanish striker Ismael Oketokoun, who beat them to the punch by about twenty hours – but you can’t fault the 19-year-old for being excited.

The Canadian Premier League heavyweight has signed the young striker to a multi-year contract, reaching into the Spanish lower leagues to secure the forward prospect from fifth-division Platges de Calvia.

“Breaking news…well, kinda,” joked the official Forge account when unveiling the player.

Oketokoun had an intriguing start in the senior ranks, scoring two goals in seven after scoring seven in ten in the side’s reserve ranks. The Mallorca native had hopped around clubs at the youth level, developing with the likes of San Francisco U-19, RCD Mallorca U-19, and Penya Arrabal U-19.

While the structure of the contract wasn’t clarified, sources inform Northern Tribune that the youngster’s deal comes in the shape of a one-year contract with club options to extend his stay.

“We’re excited to welcome Ismael to Forge,” says Forge FC head coach and sporting director Bobby Smyrniotis. “He’s a young striker with good energy and attacking instincts, and we see real potential in his game. We’re looking forward to working with him as he continues his development in our environment.”

Ismael will join a highly competitive attacking line at Forge, with the club marching into 2026 with the likes of Tristan Borges, Hoce Massunda, Brian Wright, Molham Babouli, and the recently re-signed Nana Ampomah all up top.
