Forge Triggers Option On Jevremovic
Following a strong introductory season in the hammer, Forge FC has retained the services of left-back Marko Jevremovic for another year.
The 29-year-old defender had his option triggered by the Canadian Premier League side today. Jevremovic made 33 appearances through all competitions, tallying three assists while helping Forge to a first-place regular season finish after conceding the least goals out of any team.
The Serbian left-back was signed to a ‘multi-year deal‘ back in February, though evidently that was a one-year deal with a club option to extend his stay. He arrived to the hammer after a brief spell with Greek second tier side Athens Kallithea for their successful promotion campaign.
He had a short stint with Bosnian side FK Zvijezda 09 before that, but had been much more established with Serbian and Cypriot sides Javor Ivanjica and Enosis Neon Paralimni, tallying 136 in all for those two clubs.

With Forge seeing defenders Daniel Nimick, Ben Paton, and Rezart Rama all locked in, the core backline is looking strongly. While Forge tabled Alexander Achinioti-Jonsson an offer, it remains to be seen if the Swedish midfielder-turned-defender will be back for 2026.
Club original David Choiniere left for Quebecois expansion side FC Supra last week.

Elsewhere, Forge confirmed the execution of its options on goalkeeper Dino Bontis and midfielder Khadim Kane.
Beyond the aforementioned players, Forge will also see the guaranteed return of captain Kyle Bekker along with midfielders Alessandro Hojabrpour, Keito Lipovschek, Zayne Bruno, Christos Liatifis, with the forward line set to see Tristan Borges, Hoce Massunda, Brian Wright, Molham Babouli, Maxime Filion, and Amadou Kone all back as well.
