Alabama Bound: Chrisnovic N’sa Joins Huntsville City
After proving himself as a league-leading right-back in CPL circles, Canadian defender Chrisnovic N’sa will be taking his next steps with MLS Next Pro side Huntsville City FC.
The move re-unites him with midfielder Isaiah Johnston, who became the expansion side’s inaugural signing in December.
The 24-year-old emerged as a top right-back in Canadian Premier League, where he made 88 appearances throughout the league’s first four seasons split evenly between the Halifax Wanderers and York United.
The Halifax Wanderers were the right-back’s first stop at the professional level after he arrived from the CF Montreal Academy, with the full-back making thirty appearances for the east coast side, helping them reach a CPL Final in 2020.
His tenacity remained on display following his transition to York United, where he contributed three goals and three assists in 58 appearances. He was a regular starter in both years with the club, who had sought to retain him but ultimately saw him leave at the end of his two-year deal.
N’sa has proven to be a tireless engine on the right side of the pitch, capable of bursting forward and contributing offensively whilst covering smartly for his defensive duties, too. All-told, he’ll be an intriguing addition in Alabama, who operate as the reserve team for Nashville SC.
N’sa will be hoping he can replicate the success shown by former Cavalry right-back Mohamed Farsi last year, who performed will enough in MLS Next Pro to carve out a first team contract his team’s MLS parent club.
The full contract details of Chrisnovic’s move to Huntsville City FC were not disclosed by the club.
