The Vancouver FC faithful finally got to see a home victory at Willoughby Park in Langley, against an imploding Forge that have only managed one win in their last seven games.

It looked like Forge had come to take the points, but Vancouver goalkeeper Callum Irving made a series of saves frustrating the Forge attacks. Despite Forge’s dominance of possession, it was the young TJ Tahid that opened the scoring for Vancouver, with Triston Henry looking far from confident in the Forge goal.

It was evident this goal against the run of play had a negative affect on Forge, as four minutes later Ameer Kinani converted the Eagles’ second and deciding goal.

With the bottom five teams all within two points of eachother, this win must give some hope to coach Afshin Ghotbi that he can pull this team off of last place.
