Jordan Webb Leaves Atletico Ottawa
Canadian Premier League side Atletico Ottawa has parted ways with veteran winger Jordan Webb.
The player had opted out of the bubbled start to the 2021 CPL season due to personal reasons, with the forward and Atletico Ottawa now agreeing to officially part ways with the mutual termination of his contract.
The 33-year-old was slated to be an exciting addition to the CPL’s eighth team, offering a pacey presence on the flank with a proven goalscoring touch from his days playing abroad in Singapore.
Atletico Ottawa and Jordan Webb have agreed to terminate his contract due to the current personal situation the player is facing that will not permit him to join and play for the team this season. The Club and the Player appreciate the respect and the privacy in this matter and we wish him all the best on his future endeavours.

His arrival was first revealed in a Soccerway roster leak in March, with his official announcement coming nearly a month later. He joined the team for its preseason stint in Spain before a personal situation forced him to depart from the team, initially just for the length of the bubble before today’s more permanent announcement.
He had arrived to Atletico Ottawa following eleven seasons playing abroad in Singapore, where he had accumulated over 240 appearances, scored just over a hundred goals, and provided some 28 assists for the likes of Hougang United, Home United, Young Lions, Warriors FC, and the Tampines Rovers.
It marked his first time playing with a Canadian team since he was 21, when he dressed for CSL side Italia Shooters in 2009.
The club missed the creative attacking presence from the likes of Webb, Telfer, and Soto through most of the bubble tournament, though the latter two are now expected to play large roles now that the team has returned to Ottawa.
The club also had to terminate its contract with Ghanaian winger Osah Bernardinho ahead of the season due to visa difficulties.
Atletico Ottawa will host its inaugural home match on August 14, with a special pay-what-you-want ticket sale to mark the occasion.
We wish Jordan Webb all the best.
