League1 BC: Evolution Stumbles, Rovers Capitalizes
League1 BC has not disappointed in the 2025 campaign, as we well and truly have a title race going on. Wednesday night had two of the week’s five games. At Cloverdale Athletic Park, a Tyreese Meas double fired Altitude to a 5-0 defeat of Unity. Meanwhile, at Swangard, TSS Rovers’ Ivan Mejia was their hero as they defeated a 10-man Vancouver Whitecaps Academy 2-1.
Saturday’s sole outing saw the league leader Langley United drop points in a 1-1 draw versus Evolution SC. The former could not hold onto their lead, which came 12 minutes in, ultimately settling for a point. On Sunday, a second half comeback helped Kamloops United defeat Nanaimo United 3-1. As for Unity, a second half brace from Victory Shumbusho allowed them to take a point from Altitude this time, with the match ending 2-2.

It is still quite tight at the top of the league, where Langley still remains in front. Their advantage has decreased though, thanks to their draw coupled with Rovers’ win. Those two points dropped on Sunday could prove costly for Altitude, though they are not out of it yet.
Next week’s midweek contest pits together TSS Rovers and Unity on Wednesday. Whitecaps Academy will then face Burnaby FC on Friday night, before a pair of Saturday matches. Langley faces Nanaimo, and Evolution meets Kamloops. The week concludes on Sunday with a crucial clash between Altitude and TSS Rovers.
League1 Alberta: Goals Galore in Key Gameweek
It was well and truly a double gameweek in League1 Alberta with seven matches. Tuesday saw the Calgary Foothills top Callies United 5-0 through five different scorers. Owen Antoniuk bagged a hattrick for Cavalry U21 in their 5-1 defeat of Calgary Villains. In the all-Alberta clash, St. Albert Impact drew 1-1 versus Edmonton Scottish.
The theme of scoring five times continued on Friday, as Calgary Rangers got the better of Cavalry U21 by a 5-2 scoreline. Edmonton Scottish rushed to a 4-0 lead at Callies United, but the hosts made it interesting towards the end. Despite being down a man, Callies scored thrice in the final five minutes plus added time. In the end, the Tartans held on for a 4-3 win.
Friday’s other game also saw one team attempt to mount a comeback. This time, BTB Academy was successful. Rallying from a three-goal deficit in the final half hour, the visitors found their equalizer through Jack Ferraro in the 92nd minute to earn a 3-3 stalemate at Calgary Blizzard. Saturday’s game was less dramatic, as St. Albert Impact edged the Foothills 1-0.

The top five sides are all still in the running for the title. The Blizzard’s game in hand could prove key in this race, but it is far from over. BTB’s stunning comeback keeps them on top, though they can ill-afford another slip-up.
All four of next week’s games are on Friday. Cavalry U21 has Callies United, the Villains and St. Albert square off, the Rangers and Tartans meet in a crucial encounter, and BTB welcomes the Foothills.
League1 Ontario: Rovers Marches On
The first of the L1 Cup quarterfinals occurred last week on Thursday. In Barrie, Simcoe County Rovers defeated the sole surviving non-Premier Division team Unionville Milliken 4-0. The hosts got all of their goals in the second half to advance.
Two of the quarterfinals will take place next Wednesday. FC London faces off against Woodbridge Strikers, while Vaughan Azzurri meets Burlington SC.
League1 Ontario Premier: Woodbridge Finally Beaten
Six games occurred in Premier Division action during last week. Wednesday had the first game as Oakville SC and Vaughan Azzurri played to a 2-2 draw. Jaedyn Saunders’ second half double helped Oakville rescue a point. On Saturday, Burlington SC defeated leaders Alliance United 3-0, while Scrosoppi topped FC London 6-1 away. Tomasz Skublak picked up a hattrick in the latter game.
Sunday saw Woodbridge Strikers lose for the first time this season, as St. Catharines Roma Wolves ended up 1-0 winners. Simcoe County Rovers got past North Toronto Nitros 2-0, before Sigma’s Keito Lipovschek scored twice late on to help his side take down 10-man Vaughan Azzurri.

With the top two sides both losing last week, the battle for the title continues to look incredibly tight in Ontario. Alliance still heads the table, though the three teams immediately below them have all played three games less. Only North Toronto and FC London have less than four wins, while no one has more than five victories.
Next week’s play commences on Friday as St. Catharines hosts Simcoe. Burlington will meet Scrosoppi on Saturday, with North Toronto and FC London also facing off in a key game. Sunday’s two games pit together Alliance and Oakville, as well as Woodbridge and Sigma.
League1 Ontario Championship: Leading Pack Pulling Away
Six of the seven Championship Division games last week were decided by just one goal. Windsor City kicked things off on Wednesday by defeating Hamilton United Elite 1-0 on the road. The sides met again two days later in Windsor, with the scoreline ending up the same. As for Saturday, both matches ended 3-2 for the home sides. Whitby got the better of Master’s FA, while Sudbury Cyclones prevailed over Whitby.
York United Academy left it late in their Sunday game, but still got past Guelph United 2-1. Malek Aborig got the winner eight minutes from time. As for The Borough, they defeated North Mississauga 5-1, thanks largely to a three-goal spell in eight minutes during the opening half. Unionville Milliken completed the weekend with a 3-2 result against Pickering FC.

Sudbury and The Borough are pulling away at the top of the division so far, both owning a game in hand over Master’s in third. York Academy and Guelph are still in the running, especially since the latter has played the fewest games.
Friday night will be the perfect evening for football, with four of the week’s six matches. York Academy meets Master’s in a big one, Waterloo faces Unionville, Windsor City battles North Mississauga, and Whitby faces off against Pickering. The other two games are on Saturday. Guelph meets Hamilton, before the big clash between The Borough and Sudbury.
League2 Ontario: Rush Stumbles, Railway, Cambridge Victorious
The second half of the League2 Ontario season is already producing some dramatic matches. In the Northeast Conference, there were half a dozen games. Tuesday saw Simcoe B beat The Borough B 3-0, while Wednesday’s lone clash ended in a 3-2 win for Vaughan B over Alliance B.
Whitby B and Master’s B drew 2-2 as the former managed to come from two down to earn a point. The Borough B did end up recovering from midweek disappointment by topping Pickering B 3-2 on Saturday. Simcoe B followed it up with a 2-0 defeat of Sudbury B that same night. Unionville B wrapped up the week with a 2-1 victory over Pickering B on Monday.

The Central Conference had just four games, kicking off with Scosoppi B’s 3-0 success over Oakville B on Tuesday. Goals were the theme on Wednesday with Burlington B coming out on top 6-2 over North Mississauga B. The next day, Sigma B followed suit with a 5-2 defeat of North Toronto B. As for Rush Canada, they fell 2-1 at Woodbridge B on Friday, with Ethan Agyare Danso claiming both goals for the hosts.

Just three ties occurred in the Southwest Conference last week. Wednesday’s sole game ended in a 1-0 Waterloo B win over FC London B. Cambridge United followed that up on Saturday with a 2-1 road victory against Windsor B. Railway City also prevailed that day, topping Hamilton B 4-0. The hosts did their damage in the second half to seal the deal.

Vaughan B, Burlington B, and Cambridge continue to lead their respective conferences. Currently St. Catharines B holds the wildcard spot, one point more than Rush Canada, and two over Alliance B.
Cambridge will next see the field on Wednesday as they take on Waterloo B. Railway meets Guelph B on Saturday as they try to keep up with St. Catharines B. As for Rush, they will be back at home, also on Saturday, to take on North Toronto B.
Ligue1 Quebec: Big Wins on the Regular
There were several big results across all three divisions of Ligue1 Quebec. Here is a look back at all of the matches that took place last week.
Ligue1 Quebec: St-Laurent Held
All 10 Ligue1 Quebec teams saw the pitch over the past weekend. However, CS Mont-Royal Outremont commenced the week with a 5-0 result at FC Laval. It was a huge result for CSMRO against last year’s winners, who recovered on Saturday with a 4-2 victory versus Royal Select Beauport. FCL went up 4-0 shortly past the hour, before the guests grabbed two back near the end.
CS Longueuil earned a win in Saturday’s other clash, topping Celtix du Haut Richelieu 2-1. AS Blainville earned their third win of the year on Sunday, topping Ottawa South United 1-0. As for CS St-Laurent, they were surprisingly held 1-1 against CS St-Hubert. Both goals came in the first half. Mouhamadou Kane scored AS Laval’s winner in the other Sunday clash as they edged CSMRO 2-1.

St-Laurent saw their lead decrease to just three points as AS Laval remains in the hunt. CSMRO and FC Laval still have a shot in this title race, especially given that we just reached the midway point of the season.
Friday will have the first match of next week as Blainville meets AS Laval. On Saturday, Celtix hosts Ottawa, while FC Laval takes on St-Hubert. St-Laurent will look for their sixth win on Sunday as they battle Longueuil. The week will conclude with CSMRO meeting Beauport.
Ligue2 Quebec: LaSalle Keeps on Winning
There were a dozen games in Ligue2 Quebec last week. That included a pair of midweek play. Tuesday’s lone game ended in a CS Roussillon 4-1 win against CS Braves Ahuntsic. AS Levis-Est prevailed in the other midweek match, 3-1 at Boreal FC. Next were Saturday’s clashes. Panellinios St-Michel got past AS St-Leonard 4-1. Daryus Downing-Lattimore netted a hattrick in the win.
CS Montreal-Centre put up five in a 5-0 drubbing of AS Brossard. AS Gatineau just got past CS Trois-Rivieres 2-1, with Mistral de Sherbrooke doing the same versus Union Lanaudiere Sud. St-Jerome required just 17 minutes to get their lone goal in a 1-0 defeat of CS Boucherville. AS Chaudiere-Ouest also enjoyed a big 5-0 win at CS Levis-Est.
CSRDP topped CS St-Lazare-Hudson 5-1, while AS Montis and Boreal FC settled for a 1-1 stalemate. CS LaSalle’s domination continued with a 4-2 victory over CS Trident, pulling further ahead. The match of the week saw Lakeshore SC edge Revolution FC 3-2 in a very tight encounter. Oussama Boughanmi scored the winner to keep them in the title race.

LaSalle is still the only team to be undefeated. That in large part is why they are ahead. Montreal-Centre, Lakeshore, Revolution, and Chaudiere-Ouest currently occupy the playoff spots.
Next weekend kicks off with a massive Friday night game between Montreal-Centre and Lakeshore. This will be a key game in the context of the campaign. Saturday has the remaining action, as LaSalle looks to keep going unbeaten against Levis-Est.
Ligue3 Quebec: Fury Remains Perfect
Seven matches took place in Ligue3 Quebec last time out. Wednesday saw CS Lanaudiere-Nord top CSMRO B 3-0 in a good result. FS Salaberry was also a big winner on Saturday, as Zakaria Koutara’s double helped them beat FC Anjou 5-1. CS Titans prevailed in the other game on Wednesday as they edged Chevaliers NDMC 1-0.
Onto the weekend, where CS Haute-St-Charles grabbed a 3-2 win away to Celtix B thanks to a 91st minute goal from Vincent Corneau. CS Fury de Rimouski made it three for three in a 5-0 result against Notre-Dame-de-Grace, while Senior Venturi topped Vallee Blizz’Or 5-1. Blizz’Or then lost the following day by the same scoreline to Boreal d’Alma.

Longueuil B did not have a game last week, keeping them in front. Boreal’Dalma, Mondial RDP, and CS Titans occupy the other playoff berths, though Haute-St-Charles and Salaberry are not out of it yet.
Nine games occur across next week. NDGSA meeting Salaberry on Wednesday could be an important one. Fury will aim to stay undefeated as they face AS Laval B and Titans over the weekend. Longueuil B also has a Friday night clash, but his sdie will meet Chevaliers NDMC.
