Pacific Brings TSS Rovers Forward Devin O’Hea In On Pro Deal
Canadian Premier League side Pacific FC may have the best defense in the league this season, but it’s also been coupled with the least-potent attack.
In a bid to rectify that, the Tridents have signed TSS Rovers forward Devin O’Hea on a deal that will run through the remainder of the season with a club option for 2025.
O’Hea, 24, had faced Pacific as a member of the Rovers’ contingent in this year’s Canadian Championship, notching an assist against his new team and nearly providing a complete cupset in the process.
O’Hea found the back of the net four times for the Rovers this season before testing himself with USL2’s Flint City Bucks, where he made two appearances.
The forward had also been a standout at Simon Fraser University, being named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year last year following a season that saw O’Hea contribute nine goals and nine assists in just 18 games.
“Devin is a player with great character and has been working extremely hard for an opportunity,” says Pacific FC head coach James Merriman.
“He’s a top athlete with a strong work ethic and has been consistently creating goals for his teams. He can play as a target or second striker, has good technique and the ability to create combination play. He will give us another option going forward in our attack.”
Pacific has scored just twelve goals this season, with Ayman Sellouf leading the club through through three penalty conversions. Trinidad and Tobago striker Reon Moore has had a slow start on the Isle, tallying just one league goal since his arrival in the spring.
The club’s newest addition will be available for selection in the club’s home match against Valour this weekend.
Recently, Devin’s former League1 BC side secured victory as the 2024 League1 BC regular season champions. The Rovers have helped to produce plenty of talents who have landed in professional heights, like Anthony White, Joel Waterman, and Jordan Haynes, the latter of whom will be visiting on behalf of Valour FC this Sunday.
