Pacific’s Pierre Lamothe Enters Free Agency
Pacific FC midfielder Pierre Lamothe has left the Isle.
The 27-year-old confirmed his departure after two seasons representing Pacific FC, during which time he also embarked on two separate loans in Vietnam.
Interview Flashback: Lamothe Ready To ‘Add His Touch’ Out West With Pacific
The Quebecois athlete represented Pacific no less than 25 times this season after returning from his loan with Quang Nam FC in March, but where the Quebecois baller lands next remains to be seen.
“As I close this chapter of my career, I’d like to thank everyone I’ve had the chance to work with at Pacific FC for the last two years, but especially the fans whom without none of this would be possible,” said Lamothe online. “Hopefully, we’ll cross paths again. I am now looking forward and ready to take on a new challenge.”
The 25-year-old jumped up to the professional level with Halifax four years ago, contributing three goals and making 48 appearances for the Nova Scotian side across all competitions. After going out of contract with Halifax, he confirmed his own departure just two days before landing out west with Pacific.

Born in Greenfield Park, Quebec, Lamothe’s career was a youth prospect for CF Montreal before eventually landing in the PLSQ (now Ligue1 Quebec) with CS Longueuil and AS Blainville. His performances at the semi-pro level led him to turn pro with the Halifax Wanderers back in 2021, with the midfielder ultimately spending two seasons out east.
Flashback: Lamothe Arrives In CPL: ‘It’s A Big Weight Off My Shoulder’
Last season saw Lamothe loaned to Vietnam’s Quang Nam FC after he trained with SHB Da Nang in the spring, though his eventual return to Pacific only saw him rack up seven appearances. While he upped that tally in 2024, the side has opted to look elsewhere for its midfield contingent heading into 2025.
While what comes next for Lamothe remains to be seen, we expect that his next steps will come abroad.
