Titles are being won, promotion and relegation are being decided, and playoff spots are still on the line. Here is Northern Tribune’s latest on everything that happened in PSL Canada play. This is the women’s recap, while you can find the men’s report here.

Alberta Premier League: Wild Edging Closer
The Alberta Premier League campaign is getting closer to being complete. Last week saw another four matches as the fight for the title continues.
Tuesday’s sole match ended in a 2-1 Calgary Foothills win over the Calgary Villains. Izzy Di Palma netted the winner seven minutes before the end to give her side all three points.
It was not all negative for the Villains, who prevailed 6-1 on Friday against Callies United. The other two games that night ended 2-2, as BTB Academy drew with the Foothills, while the Calgary Blizzard and St. Albert Impact also ended level.

Although they did not play last week, the Calgary Wild U-23 still remains on top, thanks in large part to the Blizzard and Foothills dropping points on Friday. They have a game in hand as well, putting them in a strong position to clinch the title.
In fact, the Wild can do so next week as they have two games. Victories over the Calgary Rangers on Tuesday and Friday will secure them the trophy. The week’s other three games, all on Friday, see the Blizzard host the Villains, Callies take on BTB, and St. Albert welcome the Foothills.

Prairies Premier League: Saskatchewn Duo End On High
The inaugural Prairies Premier League campaign concluded last week, though we already knew from the week prior that Bonivital claimed the championship.
Sask Excel Academy was the first to take the pitch on Thursday, defeating Lucania FC 2-1. Elly Mitchell scored both goals for the hosts including an 86th minute winner. In Ontario, FC Manitoba got past Thunder Bay Chill 2-0, scoring in either half. QC United finished the year with a 2-0 defeat of Lucania on Saturday, with two goals in as many minutes.

Here is the final standings after the 30 matches. The first year of pro-am footy in the Prairies can certainly be considered a roaring success in terms of competitiveness.
All six sides won at least twice, while the goal difference ranged from +3 to -7. It is a positive sign for the league, and hopefully it will result in more sides joining in future years.

Ontario Premier League: Cup Final Draws Near
The Ontario Premier League is also coming to the end of its season, with just a few more matches for each team. One of the biggest games of the season, the OPL Cup final, is next week.
At the Ontario Soccer Centre, Guelph United and Hamilton United Elite will square off on Wednesday to determine the cup winner for the season. Regardless of the winner, we will have our sixth different champion in the tournament’s seventh edition.
Here is what transpired elsewhere across the province this past week.

Ontario Premier League 1: Rovers Champions Once Again
Seven games took place in the OPL1 last week, with another significant spot confirmed. That came at the bottom, where North Mississauga’s 2-0 Wednesday reverse to North Toronto Nitros confirmed their relegation. Vaughan Azzurri also won that night, 3-0 over Guelph United.
Friday’s lone clash saw NDC Ontario and Scrosoppi play to a 1-1 stalemate. That result proved significant, as it on Saturday, Simcoe County Rovers topped FC London 2-0. Goals in either half gave the visitors their 14th win of the year. It also ensured they were crowned champions for the second year running.
In Saturday’s other matches, Woodbridge Strikers edged Vaughan 1-0, Waterloo United got past North Mississauga 3-2 in a crucial win, and North Toronto fell 3-2 at home to Guelph.

Simcoe’s lead at the top increased to nine points over NDC with two games left, putting them in an unassailable position. At the opposite end, North Miss will drop to OPL2 for next season. The only thing left to confirm is who will finish ninth between Waterloo and North Toronto.
That question could very well be decided next Friday night at RIM Park as the two will face off. Should Waterloo avoid defeat, it will leave North Toronto forced to face an OPL2 side in a playoff.
The other games for the week have London facing North Miss, Simcoe taking on Scrosoppi, Guelph hosting Vaughan, and NDC playing Woodbridge.

Ontario Premier League 2: Burlington Climbs Off Bottom Spot
The relegation battle is truly heating up in the OPL2 following the most recent results.
However, Friday had an important game as well, as Whitby FC and Hamilton United finished level at 1-1. Caitlyn Gratton tied the score for the guests late on in the match to cancel out Lauren Illman’s opener. Pickering FC topped Rush Canada 3-0 that night as well.
In Saturday’s action, Burlington SC held Cambridge United to a 0-0 draw at home. That, combined with International FC’s 3-2 defeat of Unionville Milliken proved to be crucial results. Tecumseh edged Oakville SC 2-1 in the other match.

Burlington is has now passed Unionville, dropping the latter into last place. International’s win, meanwhile, all but assures them their place in the division next year. Hamilton’s late goal against Whitby keeps them in second spot, and could even seal that position next week.
Burlington is on the cusp of sending Unionville down, with Sunday’s direct duel at Corpus Christi potentially being the match to do so. The former also faces Rush Canada in midweek, meaning they could require just a point on Sunday depending on how they do in Oakville. Regardless, victory on the weekend will confirm their stay in the league at Unionville’s expense.
International faces Oakville on Saturday as they will look to officially clinch their OPL2 place for next year. Tecumseh welcomes Whitby in a must-win match for the latter. A loss of points opens the door for Hamilton to seal second on Sunday at Pickering FC. Cambridge and Rush complete the week with their Sunday night clash.
Ontario Premier League 3: Conference Winners Confirmed
The OPL3 conference winners are all known after last week’s action.
Simcoe B wrapped up the Northeast after posting wins against Unionville B (4-1), Kingston Sentinels (1-0), and International B (5-0). It was not a good week for Kingston, who also lost 3-0 at Pickering B. Master’s FA, however, did win their clash, topping International B 7-1.

In the Central Conference, Woodbridge B got past Scrosoppi B 2-1 and 7-1 in their two games. Richmond Hill fell 4-1 away to Vaughan B, while the Sudbury Cyclones won 7-2 over Burlington B. Vaughan B drew 0-0 with North Mississauga B.

Railway City’s playoff hopes are now gone after their shock 1-0 reverse to Waterloo B, who had also defeated Tecumseh B 5-1. Before that, St. Catherines Roma Wolves stayed unbeaten with a 6-0 success at Cambridge B.

Three of the four playoff spots are confirmed, as Simcoe B topped the Northeast, Woodbridge B is still perfect in the Central, and St. Catherines dominated the Southwest. The wildcard spot is set to go to Pickering B, providing they either win their last match, and/or Vaughan B drops points.
Master’s will complete their year at home to Unionville B and at Kingston Sentinels, the latter also playing their final match in 2026. Pickering B is at Whitby B on Thursday. Richmond Hill hosts Woodbridge B and Burlington B, Sudbury heads to North Miss B, and Vaughan B plays Woodbridge B. St. Catherines hosts Tecumseh B, and Railway will conclude their season at London B.

LS PRO Quebec: Cup Football Enters Knockout Rounds
The Coupe du Quebec had a week off last time out as the group stage is all but over. Just Group E is left to be decided, with both games taking place next week. CS Mont Royal Outremont, who is already through to the last 16, plays CS LaSalle away, while CS Roussillon has CS St-Hubert.
The round of 16 will also begin next week, as FC Laval faces AS Chaudiere-Ouest, and CS Boucherville meets Mistral de Sherbrooke.
Ligue 1 Quebec: Lakeshore Earns Vital Win
Five matches occurred in Ligue 1 Quebec last week due to a postponement between Ottawa South United and AS Laval.
In the title playoffs, league champion AS Blainville drew 2-2 against Chaudiere-Ouest. CS Mont Royal Outremont, who was dethroned this year, lost for the third time in a row, falling 2-1 at Royal Beauport. Academie CF Montreal topped Celtix du Haut-Richelieu 2-0 in the other game.
Lakeshore SC took a vital step towards securing their Ligue 1 status after defeating FC Laval 2-1. Brianna Gianino gave her side the victory thanks to a late goal. CS Longueuil put CS St-Laurent in more danger in a 4-0 success.

CSMRO has fallen to third place in the league after their latest reverse. However, it is the bottom where things are truly getting exciting, as Lakeshore’s win pulled them three clear of St-Laurent and five over AS Laval. Remember, it is the bottom two that get relegated to Ligue 2.
Next week is the final full week of the season. Lakeshore plays away to St-Laurent, and with a point, they will send down their opponents as well as AS Laval. Victory for St-Laurent might be enough to keep them up. AS Laval takes on FC Laval needing three points otherwise they will go relegated.
In the other matches for the week, CSMRO welcomes Academie CFM, Longueuil takes on Ottawa South United, Chaudiere-Ouest meets Celtix, and Blainville hosts Beauport.
Ligue 2 Quebec: Trident Stays Alive In Title Race
The Ligue 2 Quebec season has been nothing short of exciting, and last week’s results continued add to the thrill.
CS Levis-Est started things off on Saturday with a 2-1 success at CS St-Hubert. Emma Donovan got both goals for the visitors. CS Trident followed that up with a convincing 3-0 win against CS Fury de Rimouski.
In Gatineau, AS Gatineau battled from a goal down twice to pick up a 2-2 draw against CS Trois-Rivieres in what could be a key result in the relegation scrap. CS Boucherville ended Saturday’s play with a huge 2-1 win at AS Brossard.

Everyone is still fighting for something in Ligue 2 Quebec with four games left. LaSalle, who had the week off, still holds onto top spot, though they have three sides in contention. Boucherville’s win pulls them clear of Brossard and Revolution FC. As for the bottom three, AS Gatineau drew level with Fury, with the pair sitting two points above Trois-Rivieres.
AS Gatineau hosts LaSalle to kick things off next Sunday in a full round of fixtures. Fury takes on St-Hubert, Boucherville battles Trident, Trois-Rivieres welcomes Revolution FC, and Levis-Est faces Brossard.
Ligue 3 Quebec: Top Two Falter
It was a strange week in Ligue 3 Quebec, as the two runaway teams both failed to win.
Friday had the first match of the week, as CF L’International de Quebec earned a 3-1 success at bottom side Phenix des Rivieres. Saturdday was the day of upsets, with West Ottawa SC suffering their first league defeat of the year in a shock 1-0 reverse to Mistral de Sherbrooke. Tali Thiboutot scored just before the break to stun the visitors.
Cosmos de Granby drew 1-1 at home to CS Roussillon before Optimum de Victoriaville was held to a 3-3 stalemate by Union Lanaudiere Sud in their clash. Thrice did the visitors go in front, only for Union to come back each time to steal a point.

Those two dropped points could prove to be costly for Victoriaville, who failed to make the most of West Ottawa’s unexpected defeat. L’International is clear of relegation danger now, and could even finish as high as fourth. Union, Cosmos, and Phenix are left in the battle to maintain their LS PRO spot.
Victoriaville is away to L’International next Sunday for their match. As for West Ottawa, they look to bounce back at CS Du Bas-Richelieu, who had the week off last time out. Roussillon has Union, while Cosmos takes on Mistral de Sherbrooke. Phenix will be watching the latter two games with the hope that both of their relegation rivals lose again.
