Valour Drops New Looks For 2023
Valour’s new looks for the upcoming season are here, and they’re both bold new takes in familiar colours.
A fan event held tonight saw Valour FC unveil its new threads for the 2023 season, with brand new primary and alternate looks hailing giving two very different feels.
The club’s new primary kit featured a two-tone red chest with a sublimated top-down map paying homage to the city itself. It’s a neat pattern and certainly a much cleaner go of things than York United’s infamous 2020 kit, with a black-and-gold sleeve trim, a half-collar, and solid red arms.
The alternate kit is quite a trip: a maroon Monster-esque slash rips along the torso of a black kit with some speckled gray, with a red-and-gold sleeve and wrapped collar completing the look.
While OneSoccer remains the club’s main kit sponsor, fans will also note a new CIBC logo along the sleeve. That’s due to a new multi-year partnership the bank has landed with the CPL and CSB, with all eight teams set to sport the bank’s lettering on their arms.
Interested fans can purchase the kits on the official club shop here.
Valour become the second CPL team to show off their new kits this season, with the Halifax Wanderers kicking off festivities earlier this week. Forge was also due to have a kit reveal tonight, but some tough weather has pushed the event to next week.
The 2023 Canadian Premier League season will be Valour’s fifth campaign in the league, with Phillip Dos Santos hoping that a more mature, proven roster will help the team crack playoffs for the first team in team history. Should the club accomplish the feat, this looks may just become iconic.
