Vancouver FC Releases Preseason Plans For 2024 CPL Season
In the wake of the announcement of their 2024 home-opener, Vancouver FC has also released some interesting information about the club’s preseason plans.
Vancouver FC will begin preseason training on February 20, 2024 at the Langley Events Centre, just under two months before the season’s kick-off on April 13th.
It was also revealed that Vancouver FC’s preseason preparations will include matches against both local and MLS sides ahead of the new season, although details about the opposition won’t be revealed until later on next month.
Vancouver FC will look to improve on their maiden season and fight for a playoff place after missing out in 2023.
“I will speak for everyone at VFC that we cannot wait to step onto the field on April 14 and begin our journey towards the CPL summit this season,” said Vancouver FC head coach Afshin Ghotbi.
“We have assembled an exciting selection that’s bubbling with quality, experience and youth, and a perfect mixture of the local best and inspired international players.”
The team’s recruitment is well under way as they have signed local BC players Ben Fisk and Grady McDonnell so far this offseason, while the links to David Norman Jr. and Paris Gee are all but confirmed.
