Tahid Completes Vancouver FC Exit
Vancouver FC has confirmed the transfer of 18-year-old forward Taryck “TJ” Tahid, who once made history as the league’s youngest professional when he signed with the Eagles back in 2023.
The Maple Ridge, BC-born talent is making a free transfer to Albanian second tier side KF Skenderbeu Korce. The deal includes potential for additional future compensation based on undisclosed conditions.

Tahid tallied three goals in Vancouver FC’s maiden season, making 20 appearances in his rookie campaign before which he impressed at an open trial.
The next two seasons saw his input finished to under 250 minutes of game time apiece, however, and it seems that sparked a desire for TJ to test himself abroad.
Oven that Vancouver has racked up 6,000 minutes to domestic U-21 talent this season alone and remain in dead last without giving him much game time, a fresh start elsewhere seems in his best interest.
Despite his young age, Tahid has tested himself outside of Canadian soil before: trials at Villarreal, New York Red Bulls, and FC Midtjylland preceded his first pro contract.

Born in Canada but eligible for Ghana through his father, the 18-year-old has had interest from both national team camps. He featured in two full games for Ghana against Morocco at the U-20 level, and was with the Canada U-18 camp in Finland before his club move to Albania.
He previously featured four times for Canada at the U-17 level, including three appearances at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2023.
Tahid made 46 appearances for Vancouver FC over the last three seasons, tallying four goals through just over one thousand minutes of play.
“Everyone at the club wishes him all the best with his future endeavours,” read a statement from Vancouver FC.
His new club Skenderbeu Korce will be hoping to bounce back up to the top flight after suffering relegation last season. For Tahid, the moment represents a big opportunity to get larger minutes and test his mettle as a young professional abroad.
