Cavalry Unveils 2024 Season Kits
The first kit drop of the 2024 Canadian Premier League season is here, courtesy of the reigning regular season champions.
Cavalry FC has produced a red primary and green alternate look for 2024, with the first look inspired by Cavalry’s local innovations and the alt threads drawing inspiration from Aurora Borealis and the Alberta Night Sky.
The club has also confirmed that a limited quantity of Concacaf patches are available for purchases with the new kits, celebrating the club’s first foray into the continental action later this month.
The red look is called the Innovation City kit and features a geometric pattern around both front and back along with a green, white, and red trim and an homage to the traditional sash many fans may have expected. The geometric look, as it turns out, is inspired by the city’s economic growth in the technology sector.
“Calgary has emerged as a major tech hub, covering software development, artificial intelligence, biotech, and clean technology. Our red kit embodies the dynamic spirit of innovation and fuses the beautiful game with a subtle reference to the traditional Cavalry sash,” says the club.
The green look – called the Northern Lights Kit – draws heavy inspiration from both Aurora Borealis and the Pegasus Constellation, with the club touting the Alberta Night sky front and centre for its green threads.
“Show your team spirit and Alberta’s natural wonders,” reads the club description. “It’s more than sportswear; it’s a connection to the unique celestial offerings of Canada’s northern landscape.”
While we’ve heard whispers that a third kit could be in the works, for now fans have two brand new looks to pick from as Cavalry heads into the 2024 CPL season.
It looks like Westjet will continue to be Cavalry’s primary kit sponsor, while CIBC is expected to be a league-wide sleeve sponsor for 2024.
Fans interested in purchasing the new kits can do so here.
