Halifax Wanderers Release End Of Season Roster Update
With the Halifax Wanderers slated to announce the club’s new head coach hire on Wednesday, the East Coast club is also providing fans an update on the contract status of its current roster.
Like the Vancouver FC roster update from last week, however, it doesn’t reveal specifics on who is coming back beyond those on guaranteed deals, with eight players still on club options and five players set to see contracts expire at the end of the month.

The club has one defender locked in for 2026 through Thomas Meilleur-Giguere, who proved a sizable pickup for the Wanderers this year. A strong midfield core of Lorenzo Callegari, Isaiah Johnston, and Andre Rampersad will also return, along with forwards Jason Bahamboula, Yohan Bai, Tavio Ciccarelli, Tiago Coimbra, and Ryan Telfer.
That’s nine players guaranteed to return for the 2026 CPL season. Less certain is the rest.
The club holds options on eight players and has until December 31, 2025, to exercise them. These players include starting goalkeeper Rayane Yesli, defensive quartet Jefferson Alphonse, Julian Dunn, Nassim Mekideche, and Kareem Sow, midfielders Luka Juricic and Camilo Vasconcelos, and forward Reshaun Walkes.

Five players without options will see their contracts expire on December 31. The biggest names amongst them will be energetic defender Wesley Timoteo and former CPL MVP Sean Rea, the latter looks poised to sign with Quebecois newcomer FC Supra.
Also expiring is understudy goalkeeper Aiden Rushenas, midfielders Vitor Dias, and Jeremy Gagnon-Lapare, the latter of whom’s playoff penalty miss could prove a heartbreaking last act in Wanderers blue.
As well, the loans of CF Montreal’s Alessandro Biello and Toronto FC’s Adam Pearlman will officially conclude at the year’s end.
