BC Premier League: Rise Academy Doubles Down
It was a four-game week in the BC Premier League, although TSS Rovers did not have a match. Wednesday had the opening clash, with Vancouver Rise edging Unity FC 3-2 away. All five goals came in the opening half, with Brooklyn Boldt’s hattrick making all the difference.
On Friday night, Altitude returned to winning ways with a 3-0 defeat of Langley United. Also that evening, Burnaby FC claimed their second win of the year with a 5-0 defeat of Kamloops United.
Boldt was back among the goals for the Rise Academy, with her pair on Sunday – including a 90th minute winner from the spot – leading her side to a 2-1 success against Nanaimo United. She’s leads the league with seven goals thus far.

That late goal in their Sunday clash kept the Rise perfect on the year, as they have opened up a six-point lead on Unity and eight on Altitude. Through eight games, Nanaimo is still without a win.
There are five matches in the BCPL next week, with Wednesday’s two clashes pitting together Langley and Unity, as well as TSS Rovers and Altitude. On Saturday, Langley faces Burnaby on the road, before Sunday concludes the week with Altitude back at home to face Kamloops, while the Rise Academy faces TSS Rovers.

Alberta Premier League: Week Off For All
There were no matches in the Alberta Premier League last week, giving teams a chance to regroup ahead of the busiest stretch of games yet.
Tuesday will see all eight teams in action. The Calgary Wild U23, currently leading the league, hosts holder Calgary Blizzard, with the Calgary Foothills taking on Calgary Rangers. Callies United has the Calgary Villains, and St. Albert Impact takes on BTB Academy.
There are also a pair of Friday night games, where BTB meets the Wild Academy, and St. Albert welcomes the Villains.

Prairies Premier League: Sask Excel, FC Manitoba with First Wins
While all six of the Prairies Premier League clubs played last week, three of the four games involved the Thunder Bay Chill, who played all three Manitoba-based sides on the road.
Before that, the two Saskatchewan teams did battle as Sask Excel Academy edged QC United 1-0. Folawe Balogun got the only goal of the game shortly after the restart.
The Chill’s first of three games ended in a 3-0 defeat to FC Manitoba on Friday thanks in large part to a double from Amella Puskar. The next day saw the Chill draw 0-0 with Lucania, before they were involved in a 3-3 thriller on Sunday at Bonivital. Ella Favot’s hattrick proved not to be enough, as two goals in two minutes towards the end saw the Flames claim a point.

It is Lucania who holds the lead with four points from their two games, with FC Manitoba and Sask Excel sitting one point behind and one game less.
Just two matches occur in the Prairies next week, as Saturday’s clash pits together QC United and FC Manitoba. The next day, Sask Excel faces Bonivital at SMF Field.

Ontario Premier League: Hamilton Through In Cup
The last game of the round of 16 in the OPL Cup took place on Tuesday, where a Caitlyn Gratton double and Lexie Foster sent Hamilton United Elite through to the last eight with a 3-0 success at Scrosoppi.

As for the domestic play, here is what took place.
Ontario Premier League 1: Away Teams Prevail
There were just three matches in OPL1 last week, with a pair of 4-0 victories for away sides kicking things off on Friday night. NDC Ontario had four different goalscorers in their win at North Toronto Nitros, while Stephanie Bukovec’s brace a minute apart helped Woodbridge Strikers win by the same score at Waterloo United.
Sunday’s curtain-closer for the round saw Simcoe County Rovers’ first half goals be just enough to beat Vaughan Azzurri 2-1.

There is no stopping NDC so far, with 15 points and 22 goals from their opening five games. They remain top, though the Rovers and Woodbridge stay on their tail. FC London and North Mississauga did not play this week, yet will want to get on the board with celerity to avoid the potential of relegation.
There is one Tuesday night game, where Guelph United faces FC London, before all 10 teams are involved over the weekend. Saturday sees Simcoe take on Waterloo, North Toronto meet North Mississauga, and London battling Vaughan. On Sunday, Guelph has NDC before Woodbridge meets Scrosoppi.
Ontario Premier League 2: International Gets Maiden Win
A full round of football took place in OPL2 as the action picked back up. Friday night had the first game, where Pickering FC remained perfect thanks to a 1-0 win over Cambridge United. Tecumseh prevailed the next night, scoring twice in the latter stages of their 2-0 defeat of Unionville Milliken.
The goals came on Sunday, where Whitby FC held off Rush Canada to win 4-2 at Bronte Athletic Park. That was also the final score at Mount Joy, where International FC got their first-ever league win at the expense of Burlington SC. The visitors played down a woman for a little more than an hour as they failed to hold onto their 2-1 advantage. Hamilton United won the last game 2-1 at Oakville SC.

Pickering keeps top spot for now, as Oakville and Tecumseh are five points back. As for International, their win puts them in eighth as Burlington is now at the bottom and still awaiting their first point.
Hamilton and International will square off on Friday night to start proceedings. Tecumseh takes on Burlington and Rush meets Unionville on Saturday, before Sunday’s action has Whitby hosting Pickering, and Cambride facing Oakville.

That lifted them past Pickering B 1-0. No goals were scored in Monday night’s game between Unionville B and Whitby B.

The top division in Quebec continued on with seven games throughout the week. Wednesday night’s clash ended 2-0 in AS Blainville’s favour against FC Laval. Second half goals from Alexie Bellerose and Justine Lalande moments apart did the trick for the home team.
On the weekend, Academie CF Montreal drew 1-1 with Celtix du Haut-Richelieu, while Beauport edged CS Saint-Laurent 1-0. FC Laval claimed a point later on Saturday with a 0-0 draw at AS Chaudiere-Ouest. CS Longueuil did just enough to beat AS Laval 1-0 in their game.
Sunday’s two matches saw Blainville get a second win of the week with another 2-0 result – this time against Lakeshore SC. As for CS Mont Royal Outremont, they got past Ottawa South United 3-1.

It is Beauport still in front as the regular season goes past the midway point, though CSMRO is just a point behind them. AS Laval and St-Laurent are at the bottom still, and will need to get going to avoid the drop.
Next week’s action starts on Friday night with a pair of games. Blainville takes on Academie CFM in a huge clash, while Celtix welcomes FC Laval with top six on the line. Ligue 3 Quebec: Home Sides Score For Fun
It was a clean sweep for the teams who played at home in Ligue 3 Quebec on Sunday, as all four of them won. In fact, they scored 16 times between them.
Optimum de Victoriaville and L’International de Quebec might have played the match of the year, with the visitors failing to hold onto a 4-0 lead. A remarkable turn of events at Complexe Multisport Promutuel saw the home team score five times in the final 12 minutes plus stoppage time, with Anais Paquet’s 95th minute winner completing a 5-4 comeback win.
It was more straightforward for Mistral de Sherbrooke, who comfortably defeated CS Roussillon 5-0. West Ottawa did the same against CS Du Bas-Richelieu, while Phenix des Rivieres edged Union Lanaudiere Sud 1-0 thanks to Megan Soucy’s 21st minute winner.

West Ottawa and Victoriaville lead after the week’s round of play, while Mistral de Sherbrooke is three points behind in an exciting opening year. Union Lanaudiere Sud is now bottom after their defeat.

Cosmos de Granby will return to the pitch as they head to Repentigny to meet Union Lanaudiere Sud, as West Ottawa has the week off.
