Pacific FC Names Rob Jenkins As Managing Director

Canadian Premier League side Pacific FC has named a new managing director in Rob Jenkins, who will clock in as a familiar name to hardcore Canadian soccer fans.

The football executive has recently been involved with Ontario Premier League side The Borough FC and was previously the president of now-defunct Electric City FC, though before that he helped the Calgary Foothills get off the ground and was Cavalry’s Manager of Football Operations from 2018 to 2020.

Jenkins will replace Ross Marshall in the role of managing director, though Marshall will continue to be involved in the club as a minority owner.

“Pacific FC is at a pivotal moment, with an opportunity to build on what’s been established and take the club into its next chapter,” said PFC co-owner Dean Shillington.

“We’re building something special here, and that takes ambition, discipline and a shared commitment to the club’s future. Rob brings the leadership and experience to help make that happen. I look forward to what lies ahead and to seeing what next season brings for the club and our community.”

Pacific FC recorded the worst season ever seen in Canada’s top flight, with midseason having seen the side go over a calendar year between wins.

With the club having been listed for sale without attracting any successful bids, bringing Jenkins in to stabilize things could be a key move should owner SixFive Sports and Entertainment attempt to sell one of its two Canadian Premier League clubs again.

Returning Langford Mayor Stew Young is aiming to get the final phase of Starlight Stadium renovations underway, with Jenkins simultaneously tasked to restore Pacific to some of the glory it saw back from its title-winning campaign in 2021.

Jenkins has a strong track record of getting clubs to put down investment for their roots, though there has been mixed results: Electric City FC folded after two seasons, with Jenkins departing midway through its inaugural campaign, while Cavalry has become an institution in Calgary sports.

The length of his tenure with The Borough FC could not be confirmed at press time.

Jenkins himself has been on Vancouver Island since 2025, during which his sports management company remained busy in Ontario by partnering with OPL2 side Guelph United to aid with marketing, sponsorships, and commercial partnerships.

“Since first stepping on the Island back in 2019 as a member of Cavalry FC I fell in love with the community and the club immediately and knew that Vancouver Island and Pacific FC was where I wanted to be,” said Jenkins himself.

“I believe Pacific has potential to be something amazing for the Island and to stand out across the country as a leader both on and off the pitch. I can’t wait to show the people of Vancouver Island what I’ve seen since day one. It’s been a long journey, but I’m thrilled to finally be here.”

With Pacific having finished dead last and far from its glory days, the only way to go from here is up – and evidently, club brass believes Rob Jenkins is the right man to pull them there from an organizational level.
