Cavalry Launches End-Of-Season Roster Update
The reigning Canadian Premier League champions have just released their end-of-season roster update, and it’s one that largely keeps its core contingent together – though it remains to be seen if Ali Musse or Daan Klomp will be back to defend their title win.
Flashback: Top CPL Defender Daan Klomp Draws MLS Interest
There are eleven players on guaranteed contracts for the 2025 CPL season: captain and goalkeeper Marco Carducci, defenders Fraser Aird, Bradley Kamdem, and Eryk Kobza, midfielders Sergio Camargo, Diego Gutierrez, and Charlie Trafford, and forwards Chanan Chanda, Nicolas Wahling, and Lowell Wright are all locked in, with Tobias Warschewski also triggering his club option for 2025 through performance goals from his golden boot-winning campaign.

Tommy Wheeldon Jr and his coaching staff will have until December 31 to trigger options on no less than eight players, including number-two goalkeeper Joseph Holliday, defenders Michael Harms and Callum Montgomery, midfielders Jesse Daley, Mael Henry, and Shamit Shome, and forwards Ali Musse and Malcolm Shaw.
The club has confirmed that it will part ways with William Akio following the end of the season, whilst Tom Field and star defender Daan Klomp have contracts set to expire at December’s end.
Not mentioned at all was Myer Bevan, who was under contract this season but left the club to return to hometown Auckland this spring. We’d surmise by the club’s silence on the matter that his Cavalry days have concluded.

Cavalry has also announced that head video analyst Daniel Hutchings has left the side to join English League One club Peterborough United.
