Vancouver FC Going Big On General Admission For 2025
Canadian Premier League side Vancouver FC is trying something different next season.
The Eagles will make the vast majority of the club’s tickets general admission for next season, condensing spectators to the east and west stands in an effort to help bolster the atmosphere at Willoughby Community Park. The closure of the south end means the team can bring in a video board there, with a finite amount of reserved premium seats available in what they’re calling the Eagle Club.
“First, fans told us they wanted simpler, more accessible options. By making the majority of the stadium general admission, we’ve streamlined the buying process and kept pricing straightforward,” explains VFC Marketing Vice President Stephanie Wood, who says the approach will help create the best fan experience possible based on the feedback they’ve received.

She ascertains that the modular stadium lends itself well to a social, nomadic vibe, with fans able to enjoy pitch-side mingling and movement throughout each home match. The Canadian Premier League side says it’s witnessed this model working successfully elsewhere and hopes to emulate that success.
“General admission is perfect for nurturing that dynamic, allowing everyone to pick their spot and soak up the atmosphere wherever they like,” adds Wood.
Vancouver FC averaged about 3,150 spectators in its second season, up a few hundred from the numbers it pulled in for its inaugural chapter.
For those who want reserved, premium seating, Vancouver FC will offer what’s called the Eagle Club section – something which has room for future innovations, but currently offers fans an experience with ‘Comfort Plus’ seating. At the moment, it’s unclear what that will entail – the club is awaiting some viability testing and permits for what they can add to those seats, so there’s no final description on what Comfort Plus means right now.
An earlier social media post revealed that the club is putting together a dance crew to rev up fans next season.

Early bird pricing for a general admission season ticket will cost $249 ($18 per match), whilst the premium Eagle Club rings in at $649 (or $47 per match). The GA tickets come in at a competitive price point, though Ontario’s York United has the lowest overall cost to entry in the league with $165 supporters’ section season tickets (or $11 per match).
Major League Soccer neighbours Vancouver Whitecaps have a dedicated general admission section where its supporters’ groups can be found, and those season tickets cost $375 and up – about $125 more than Vancouver FC’s stadium-wide offering. The Caps’ premium seating ranges from $1,550 to above $3,000, with non-premium sideline season tickets running $950 and up.

Vancouver FC is making a big bet as it leans in on a general admission approach for its third season, so it’ll be interesting to see if fans buy-in on the concept.
After a hot start in league play, this season saw Afshin Ghotbi’s side slide down the rankings to finish second-last, so the club will be hoping its third season will prove the charm.
