Aidan Daniels Makes Coastal Swap To Pacific
Coastal rivals Pacific and Halifax have now lured a player apiece from each other this offseason.
Vancouver Isle’s Pacific had signed Canadian midfielder Aidan Daniels on a two-year deal with a club option for a further year.
The move comes after defender Thomas Meilleur-Giguere is swapping west for east.

Daniels had spent the last three years representingn Haligonian blue, making eighty appearances whilst contributing five goals and six assists through the coaching eras of both Stephen Hart and Patrice Gheisar, the latter of whom had described Daniels as their number one transfer target.
While Halifax held a club option on Daniels, they opted not to trigger it for 2025. He made 27 appearances for them last year, featuring just about everywhere as an attack-minded midfielder when called upon.
Pacific’s own attacking identity was called into question during a midseason dry spell in attack that came to life late season, with James Merriman believing the attack-minded midfielder will slot in well with the club’s DNA.
“Aidan is a creative, technical player with good awareness in the midfield who can change the tempo of a game,” says Merriman. “He’s attack-minded in his football, he looks for the killer pass and he can create goals with his ability.”

His arrival to Pacific comes as another former Halifax man, Pierre Lamothe, is making his exit to Vietnam.
Daniel’s got his start with Toronto FC II and has also suited up for the Ottawa Fury, the Colorado Switchbacks, and OKC Energy throughout his career so far, also featuring for the Canadian national team up to the U-23 level.
“Aidan sees forward when he plays,” adds Merriman. “That’s something we need in our team and we’re excited to have him provide it.”
With the Tridents adding Ronan Kratt on December 31, the 2025 offseason rebuilding is off to a strong start for Pacific.
