After the 2-1 late-goal heroics from the Spicer and Owusu in Florida, the Reds are set to host FC Dallas in another MLS weekend matchup.

Toronto FC currently sits in fourth place in the Eastern Conference (5-4-1,16 points) after registering recent consecutive league wins against New England Revolution and Orlando City SC in the MLS, and a hefty win in the 2024 Canadian Championship action over semi-pro side Simcoe County Rovers.

The Reds will host FC Dallas of the MLS Western Conference at BMO Field to mark their fifth MLS home match of the 2024 season, while FC Dallas ride into BMO field on a win after defeating Houston Dynamo 2-0.

TFC will once again look to use the recent impressive goal scoring spree from German forward Prince Owusu in the match, with the forward having scored in the last four consecutive matches. From Owusu’s heroics, Coach Herdman will also look for some more of that spectacular performance from Federico Bernardeschi, who has in recent matches been putting in the effort for the team. His recent performance in Florida earned him and fellow teammate Kevin Long received the honours of being named to the MLS Team of the Matchday 11.

After this weekend’s MLS matchup, the Reds will have to look to towards the two-legged quarter-final stage of the Canadian Championship. They will return to facing semi-professional opposition here after Ligue1 Quebec champions CS Saint-Laurent defeated the Halifax Wanderers on penalties to reach the round.

That means a road trip to Quebec next week for TFC, but not to Stade Saputo. Instead, CS Saint-Laurent will host at the Complexe Sportif Claude-Robillard.

Before all that, of course, Toronto FC and Coach Herdman will first look to sail past FC Dallas at BMO Field.
