York United Kit Leaked In Visit To Ambassador

York United’s new alternate kit has shown up following the club ownership’s recent visit with Mexico’s Ambassador to Canada, Carlos Joaquin Gonzalez.

The new-look Nine Stripes will head into the club’s sixth season with a green-and-blue checkerboard look complimented with a subtle nine stripe pattern and a tasteful garnish of a dual gold trim on the sleeves.

Don’t take out word for it, though – it’s out there:

As expected, Carlsberg will continue to be the primary sponsor of a kit colour scheme that was more or less born for the brand, while CIBC will continue to be a league-wide sleeve sponsor following the bank’s multi-year deal with the CPL.

The new York United kit becomes the fourth new look to be ‘revealed’ this season – albeit unofficially – with Atletico Ottawa revealing a thin-stripe look while Cavalry is the only side to show off both its primary and alternate looks for 2024.

The 2024 Canadian Premier League side will be York United’s first with the Pasquel Brothers running the show, though head coach Martin Nash and his coaching staff will remain in place. Expectations for success have been put in place, and they’ve been followed by an intriguing offseason of signings, too.

It remains to be seen what the alternate kit will be, but the club has enjoyed some truly dazzling kits following the rebrand from York9 FC back in late 2020.
