FC Supra Brings In Four Young Quebecois Prospects
The inaugural FC Supra du Quebec roster rebuild is still going at a fast pace.
This week saw the club announce four young homegrown player signings at the same time. We had tipped the club to be signing midfielder Omar Elkalkouli, with the expansion side also bringing in its first defenders via Matisse Chretien, Ismael Yeo, and Thomas Lebeuf.
21-year-old midfielder Omar Elkakouli arrives to the pro game after turning heads with Ligue1 Quebec side CS Mont-Royal Outremont while also tasting action for the University of Montreal Carabins and futsal side Sporting Club MTL. The midfield prospect previously developed with both the CF Montreal Academy and Montmorency College, also spending a stint abroad with the U-19 ranks of Portuguese side Lank FC Vilaverdense.
Described as a youngster with great technical ability, he’s a midfielder who likes to advance on the pitch and put pressure on the opposition. We’ve seen futsal players thrive in the CPL, particularly in the case of former Cavalry man Mohamed Farsi. Still fresh to the professional game, however, Elkakouli arrives to FC Supra on a one-year deal with a club option for 2027.

Signed on the same length is six-foot-four defender Matisse Chretien, a university athlete who has also picked up some USL League 2 experience with RKC Third Coast. The 22-year-old defender developed with the likes of CSBR (Alliance de Sorel-Tracy) and CS Saint-Hubert, later featuring for Cegep Ahuntsic, McGill University, Green Bay University, and most recently with the University of San Francisco, where he played every match in 2025.

Joining the backline on two-year guaranteed deals with club options for 2028 are defenders Ismael Yeo and Thomas Lebeuf. Yeo had joined CS Saint-Laurent at the age of just sixteen, winning the U-17 National Championship in 2022 and developing through the CF Montreal pipeline before jumping to FC Supra for its inaugural season.
19-year-old defender Thomas Lebeuf began his development in Trois-Rivieres before going down the Saint-Laurence to Montreal, where he developed with CS Mont-Royal Outremont and helped the U-17 team capture a league title. Lebeuf went stateside to represent the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in NCAA action before returning to his home province.
With the trio of defenders all being new to professional heights, however, it’s expected that FC Supra will be bringing in some more experienced options to shore up the club’s backline.
“All four players add important qualities to the group and bring different experiences and skill sets, while sharing the competitiveness and work ethic we value as we finalize the squad,” says FC Supra Sporting Director Mateo Cabanettes. “It’s exciting to see the roster really coming together, and it’s great to announce the first defenders to join FC Supra.”
FC Supra has now announced its first twelve players. The Canadian Premier League expansion side now has a roster that includes goalkeeper Joakim Milli, defenders Matisse Chretien, Ismael Yeo, and Thomas Lebeuf, midfielders Aboubacar Sissoko, Wesley Wandje, Omar Elkakouli, David Choiniere, Sean Rea, Charles Auguste, and Oussama Boughanmi, and striker Loic Kwemi.
The club has teased that further roster announcements are expecting to come in the coming days. With the Halifax Wanderers releasing several Quebecois talents like Wesley Timoteo and free agents like Diyaeddine Abzi raring to return to action, it’ll be interesting to see who FC Supra can bring into the fold for its Quebecois-focused roster build.
